Local and B/L charges

There are two types of charges used for those charges entered on B/L’s; B/L charges (B)or local charges (L). Local charges are those charges that are billed on the receivable invoice but that do not print on the B/L. These local charges are used in those cases such as local drayage where the consignee does not wish to pay duties against that charge at the port of discharge.
