Pickup Order

A Pickup order is a document that is used to go and pick up some cargo at the customer’s location and bring it into the warehouse. It is like a temporary pre-created dock receipt in which the pieces are not part of inventory until it arrives in the warehouse

It is created like a regular dock receipt populating all fields and entering the pieces

It appears as Pending meaning not in inventory

Then the document is printed and you can give a copy to the trucker or you can email it to whomever is going to pick it up.

Once the cargo physically arrives in the warehouse, the pick up order gets converted into a dock receipt by pressing the button force receive.

The pick up order will appear as pending until the force receive takes place. At the moment of the conversion, the program will ask for the location in the warehouse or will open the units screen depending on the warehouse operation as you can see below

At that moment it will be part of the inventory and the status will change from pending to Received as you can see below
