You will find the fields for the Marks and Numbers, then the quantity and the equipment type. If ISIS is set up in such a way that a D/R number or TIR number is required, then an additional window will appear. It will contain a list of the receipts that you have entered, as long as they coincide in job, ports and names. Otherwise you can do a Manual search and find it or search by shipper, forwarder, consignee, notify, by booking number, etc. Once you have the receipt number, double-click on it or hit Enter.to assign it to your B/L

 

 

If a Dock receipt or TIR is not required, after you type the quantity and equipment type, an additional box will pop up to assign the container number, and another window will pop up to assign the number of pieces that are stuffed into that container. If you are manifesting loose cargo, enter the quantity and the pieces. To assign the container number that these pieces are stuffed into, right-click on the line item and select Attach Container. Enter the container number. This option can be pre-defined (as well as the Capture Commodity by line item) under the View option. If you know the container number at the moment you are entering the pieces, then you can check the Capture Containers by line item option.

 

 

Then you will find the cargo description field in which you can edit a new description or select one from the drop-down list. As you start typing, the program starts bringing the description that matches with yours, it appears in a drop down list and it will assign description as you type. You can also right click on a text and select the options copy and paste (ctrl C and Ctrl V in windows). To move within the fields, you can use Tab or Enter, both options work.

Under the Dangerous Cargo field type/select Y/N. If it is Y, the Dangerous Cargo window will pop up as soon as you finish entering your dimensions.. Another windows that will pop up depending on the settings that you have in the B/L program, is the Commodity window, which will appear if the Capture Commodity by Line is active.

 

The lower portion of the B/L, corresponds to the detail. You will also find different tabs, such as translations, Commodity and Value, Comments, Rate Summary, Invoices and AMS. If translations are used for documents such as B/L’s or manifests, then you have to populate the Translations fields for every description. The commodity and value field will allow you to assign the commodity, by double-clicking on this field and select form the list; the invoice value of the cargo can be assigned under this option as well.

As far as the Rate summary and invoices, will be populated as soon as the B/L is rated and posted, respectively                   

 

To view dangerous cargo after being entered, right-click on the mouse on the line item and select the option. The same applies to the schedule B, invoices and containers for loose cargo. TIR”s and D/R’s can be viewed from the B/L detail by selecting the appropriate option

Under the commodity tab, you will find an option to Change commodity, which will change the commodity on all entered equipments (containers and loose cargo)

To delete a line item, hit Ctrl Delete to insert a line use the insert key.

 

Once the detail is entered, you can proceed to rate the Bill of Lading
